Technical seminar on broiler farming, discussing the topic “Control and Prevention of Disease in Broiler Farms,” will take place on July 3rd at the Sunrise Hotel in Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam.

Biosecurity livestock farming – Tay Ninh’s export breakthrough strategy

Possessing remarkable potential for livestock development, Tay Ninh is aiming to reach 28.3% of agricultural production value by 2025. The province’s poultry industry made significant strides in 2023, with a poultry population of 10 million heads and meat output reaching 62,460 tons.

Tay Ninh is emerging as an attractive destination for investors in the livestock sector, especially broiler farming. The province is drawing numerous large-scale projects from industry leaders, such as: The closed-cold broiler farm model; The DHN Tay Ninh high-tech livestock area with an export-oriented broiler farm.

Aiming for sustainable development, Tay Ninh focuses on establishing disease-free zones to meet the international market demand for clean food and to expand export markets.

Currently, Duong Minh Chau district of Tay Ninh Province has been recognized as a disease-free zone for avian influenza and Newcastle disease in chickens. By the end of 2025, the province aims to have Tan Bien district also recognized as a disease-free zone for these two diseases.

Recognizing the pivotal role of disease control in establishing disease-free zones for broilers, Vietstock has organized a livestock roadshow to share practical solutions that will empower broiler farmers to transition toward biosecure production. This initiative aims to reposition Tay Ninh’s broiler farming industry on the global export map.

Unlocking the secrets of disease control for the broiler industry

With the theme “Control and Prevention of Disease in Broiler Farms”, this broiler farming seminar in Tay Ninh will be the second in the series of livestock roadshow from Vietstock. The seminar is supported and accompanied by the Animal Husbandry Association of Vietnam and the Tay Ninh Sub-Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary.

Taking place on July 3rd, 2024, at the Sunrise Hotel in Tay Ninh Province, the seminar will gather leading experts to provide comprehensive solutions for businesses and farmers to address disease control challenges, thereby promoting the sustainable development of Tay Ninh’s broiler farming industry.

Kicking off the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Dat, Vice President of Animal Husbandry Association in Vietnam (AHAV), will deliver an insightful presentation on the topic “Overview of Livestock Production in Vietnam – Challenges & Opportunities”.

Following this, a panel discussion on the “Current situation of Avian Flu and Solution” will feature Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Loan, Director of Department of Livestock Production and Animal Health of Tay Ninh Province, who will equip businesses and farmers with in-depth knowledge and practical solutions for disease control and broiler flock protection.

Continuing the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Manh Ho from Phibrio Animal Health will share useful experiences on “Coccidiosis and effective prevention measures in Broiler farming, current laws and regulations in Vietnam on drugs to prevent coccidiosis”.

Lastly, to assist broiler farmers in building biosecure farming models, Dr. Nguyen Van Nga – Strategic Consultant of Mebipha Production – Trade Co., Ltd – will share key insights on “Biosecurity management in Poultry farming”.
