RESPONDING AND TAKING ACTION FOR THE EARTH – EARTH DAY 2024
Global temperatures are gradually rising; ocean warming phenomena; soil, water, and air pollution are signs that the Earth is changing and sending out a “distress signal.”
To raise awareness and call for action to protect the Earth and the environment, the United Nations has launched Earth Day (held annually on April 22) globally.
In 2024, with the theme Planet vs. Plastics, individuals are encouraged to minimize plastic materials, gradually eliminate fast fashion, and become more conscious of plastic waste that threatens the health and lives of human flora and fauna. The organization Earthday.org also invites businesses and governments to invest in advanced technology and materials to build a plastic-free world.
To reduce plastic dependency in the livestock industry, it is necessary to collect, recycle, and reuse to decrease plastic consumption. Additionally, enhancing efficiency and developing sustainable livestock farming through new breeding technologies, stable management, and water source treatment is crucial.
Through our collective efforts in accelerating our commitment to sustainability, Vietstock & Aquaculture Vietnam pursue to support and inspire sustainable production and development in the livestock, poultry, and aquaculture sectors.
Conferences and technical seminars updating knowledge and technology in green and sustainable development are highlight activities at the exhibition.
